It’s only been a few days since Big Brother Naija Season 10 — tagged the ‘Ten Over Ten’ edition — kicked off, yet the house has already been swept by a wave of emotional moments, especially among the male housemates.
Unlike past seasons where drama and heated arguments were usually the main triggers for emotional breakdowns, this time around, it’s the personal battles and vulnerabilities of the housemates that have taken center stage.
Even the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, couldn’t help but comment, saying the season already feels like “day 4 or day 54… tears for tears, cry for cry.”
Here are nine standout emotional moments that suggest this may be BBNaija’s most emotionally charged season yet:
1. Dede
Dede, who had previously insisted she wouldn’t hug anyone — even turning down a warm gesture from Head of House Jason Jae — became overwhelmed with emotion while admitting how much she missed her boyfriend outside the house.

Despite keeping her distance from male housemates, the confession brought her to tears, revealing a softer side beneath her guarded demeanor.

2. Koyin
By Day 4, eight housemates had already cried — and it all began with Koyin. He was the first to shed tears after clashing with Kaybobo, who mentioned his father during their dispute.

Koyin’s vulnerability struck a chord with viewers online, drawing sympathy and even lighthearted reactions from fans.
3. Imisi
Imisi broke down while speaking to Denari about the challenges she’s faced on her way to the BBNaija house.

She confessed feeling overwhelmed by the fashion and appearance of others — though not intimidated — and opened up about losing a four-month-old child and coming from a financially struggling background.
4. Gigi Jasmine
Gigi Jasmine’s emotional state has been one of the most unpredictable. From personal issues to the affection shown by fellow housemates, she’s had several tearful moments.

During her Monday Diary Session, she sobbed uncontrollably. In a comforting moment, Victory told her, “Like I said, you are a lot, and I don’t want you to keep being overwhelmed.”
5. Rooboy
Rooboy’s tears came not from pain or sadness, but from heartfelt appreciation. Mide praised him, saying, “Just as the basket (he carried a basket to demonstrate), it carries things, and Rooboy carries everyone along. He has made space for everyone to feel comfortable.”

The comment moved Rooboy to tears, and nearly had Kuture crying as well.
6. Tracy
Tracy opened up about her struggle with feelings of isolation. She expressed frustration that her friendships in the house felt one-sided, with no one noticing her absence unless she initiated interactions.
Though she reassured herself she’d be fine, she later broke down in private.

7. Isabella
An emotional conversation between Isabella and Kayikunmi ended in tears. Kayikunmi confessed his attraction to her but admitted to liking someone else in the house.

While responding, Isabella said, “I feel like, as a man, you should know what you want,” her eyes welling up as she spoke.
8. Kaybobo
Kaybobo found himself unexpectedly emotional while trying to explain to Koyin that he didn’t intend to insult his father. Despite entering the house as a self-proclaimed “vawulence” icon, the encounter took a toll.
Later, after being called a “bully” by Mensan, the pain of the label brought him to tears. “You wanna see a bully? If you see me left, go right,” he cried.

9. Kaybobo (Again)
Kaybobo had yet another emotional episode after a loving dinner with the housemates turned sour. A minor conflict with Mensan led to the “bully” accusation, which stirred up painful memories and pushed him to tears once again.
